thanks for stopping by.
it's July 17th, 2003, and it's a month-and-a-half since my birthday. my 35th birthday, to be exact. am i an old man? i'm eligible for the Presidency of the United States now, and people half my age are eligible for high school graduation. am i old? heh heh.
to celebrate my birthday, i've treated myself to a site overhaul. stuff's a bit different, new things have been added, old things have been modified. by modifying the books and other files here at nothingistic.org, i've made the site readable by (a) those with older browsers, (b) those who are vision impaired, and (c) those who own handheld devices. people ought to be able to access the books here and everywhere no matter who they are and what they use. i cannot guarantee the best of views, but i've done my best to help.
new things include a useful page, a search page, and an e-mail page. the useful page is merely a list of pointers to useful software, specifically open source software. there's also a few links to other book resources, which in the past i've refrained from doing, given many sites have been here today, gone tomorrow. the search page is nothing fancy, and uses a well-known search engine to do the job. the e-mail page was made to cut down on the amount of spam i receive. *grimace*
you might notice the change in terms of this site below. while the stuff i do is copywritten, nevertheless i have no desire to keep anyone from viewing or using this site. the contents of this site (those things not already in the public domain, anyway) are now covered under a Creative Commons License. click on the "Some rights reserved" sentence to see what i mean.
finally, there is the matter of books. i have been busy at work on a few books, but until i am done, i won't reveal what they are. the books you will find here are more than adequate in provoking a thought or two, even if the thoughts include a few choice words and a certain amount of skepticism.
i was last here the 17th of July, 2003.
