thanks for stopping by.

i have Jefferson's Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth in place. however, it may still be some time before i finish the introduction to both that book and Gibran's Madman. sigh. so much to do, so much time to do it.

while i was gone the Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance (OCRT) bestowed their first Burning Times Award on my state's governor. ever hear the old joke: "What does the 'N' stand for in 'Nebraska'?"? punchline: "Knowledge.". now you know why the joke got started. (no, i take that back: the joke probably began during the days of William Jennings Bryan, another famous Nebraskan. or maybe it was soon after people found out L. Ron Hubbard was born here. *shrug* now you know why the joke is so humorous.) it seems OCRT is in financial trouble, so who knows how long they'll remain on the web. their address is http://www.religioustolerance.org. pay a visit sometime.

i was last here the 24th of May, 1999.
